At the Rambler’s Top 100 New Records
July 31, 2008 – 4:32 amIn the rating Rambler’s Top 100 made some updating. For site owners became available to new reports. The report “External links” allows to see the sources of incoming traffic for the resource. “All links” demonstrates both the outside and internal links, which were carried out on the page resource referrals and “Searches” - search queries that have been implemented resource referrals.
For reporting “External links” and “internal reference” to specify the data available at different levels:
- Full URL - the address at which the transition was made available in full. This is important in case you need to analyse what pages are sources of conversion, as well as a set of parameters that affect their content. For example, the entry in the record http://www.rambler.ru/srch?words = auto said that the transition was made from a search site rambler.ru with parameter words, equal to “car”.
- Pages - the address at which the transition was completed, submitted without any parameters. This makes it possible to analyse pages as referral sources. For external links pages show visitors the sources of a resource for internal pages - the pages resource, which entice visitors to continue his review.
- Directory - information about the crossings are grouped by directories site, where under the directory understood part of the address until the right symbol “/”. This is a more general level of reporting in relation to the level of detail on the pages.
- Sites - the jump information is grouped by sites where the site under the domain name refers to the resource, from the pages of which was completed conversion. It is the overall level of reporting, which is a measure which sites are sources of audience identification of resources (the report “External links”), as well as to evaluate the total number of conversions within the resource (recorded “All links”). Knowing full-time audience size and number of internal conversions, the owner of the site can assess the extent of involvement of the audience as the average number of conversions of its own site per visitor. This information complements the information report “The activity of visitors”, which shows the distribution of the number of visitors by the number of page views.
The report “Searches” helps to estimate the number of referrals to resources derived from popular search engines, and to analyse a lot of search queries that visitors have found a resource in the search engines. For the latter an opportunity to select a subset of queries containing the given string and / or belonging to a particular search engine.
